No. You can plan trips and pack without signing up, and everything is stored on your phone. Sign in with Apple, Google or email only when you want to sync between devices or share a trip.
When you add an activity — say a surf lesson on day 3 or a hike in Yosemite — Wayfold suggests the things that activity needs, such as a rash guard or hiking boots. You see the suggestions first and choose what goes on the list. Nothing is added silently.
Yes. Lists, itineraries, bookings, budget and documents all work offline — on a plane, abroad without roaming or in a national park. Weather, place search and AI suggestions need a connection, and changes sync when you are back online.
Both. Wayfold speaks American and British English (“pants” or “trousers”, “flashlight” or “torch”), supports °F and °C, miles and kilometres, and dollars, pounds and euros. It follows your phone’s region by default.
It reminds you about passport validity and travel authorisations such as the US ESTA, the UK ETA and the EU’s upcoming ETIAS, and links straight to the official government source. It is a helpful reminder, not legal advice — always check the official source before you travel.
