What to pack for Croatia

The Croatian coast has a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and mild winters. Inland, including Zagreb, winters are colder and summers can be hot.

That is the long-term pattern, not a forecast. Weather in any given week can be warmer, colder or wetter than usual, so check the forecast a few days before you leave — Wayfold does this automatically and adjusts the packing list for your actual dates.

Pack with Croatia in mind

  • Water shoes — many beaches are pebbly or rocky
  • Sun protection and swimwear
  • Comfortable shoes for polished stone streets in the old towns
  • A light layer for boat trips and evening breezes
